Adult Classes and Tuition

I have many different types of lessons, depending on your level, what you want to achieve and how much time you have available.

Here are my most common ones. I'm also happy to tailor something for you so don't worry if you don't see what you want. Just give me a call to discuss.

My classes are relaxed and informal but always structured and focused on your objectives.

I offer free assessments to determine your level.

“It’s great to be taught by a native French teacher who is able to bring to the class the “real French" language and customs.”

business lessons

If you are working in France or with French people, I can help to improve your confidence and ability to communicate effectively. Remember that your French counterpart will appreciate your effort to use his/her language.

Conversation

If you already have an intermediate level and would like to purely concentrate on the speaking, join the conversation class. It will enable you to communicate on a variety of current topics, take part in role plays based or present to the group a subject you’re interested in. Each week the topic will change, I make take into account everyone’s interests. It is a larger group of currently six people but I often split the group in pairs or in 3 to give everyone a chance to speak.

intensive

vouchers

Give the gift of language for special occasions.

Teaching Style

Forget your school French lessons. No more endless list of words or verbs to learn by heart. Courses are fun, informal and adapted to each level and concentrate on practical, spoken, day to day French, French culture and current affairs.

Role plays are a key aspect of lessons, especially for beginners. This will enable you to take part in communicative and practical situations like ordering drinks and meals, shopping etc.

Materials

Some students prefer to work from a course book and I have many good ones, depending on your level.

I also use my own material extensively that I have built up over a lifetime of teaching.

I use a lot of digital resources such as downloads of radio programmes and excerpts from TV5 Monde.
